Dd 5e necromancer homebrew12/3/2023 ![]() I am assuming that you meant the ghost description in the Monster Manual, but does that mean that you'd have to find a ghost monster before performing the feature, does the feature summon one to you, or what? Is it just up to the DM to determine whether or not a ghost shows up and what the temperament of the ghost is? Does the undead they create go towards your HP reduction raise dead would? I guess I don't understand if this is meant to be a combat bonus or something to be used for RP shenanigans (ghost possesses recently killed bad guy leader to convince his army to pack up and leave).Īnyhow, all in all I really like the theme and much of the execution. Selective binding seems somewhat unclear. I like the theme and idea of many of the skills, but with how many 1d8 hit die characters I've seen get dropped without having their hp lowered by their own skills I'd feel like never leaving full cover with this class. I know that you are trying to balance minion power by being fragile, but honestly this is scary fragile.
